Education: Degree in Food Science / Technology,
Nutrition, Microbiology or Culinary qualifications (preferable).
Experience: 2 Yrs Experience in fresh food
(preferably prepared produce), Internal auditing experience, QA
Environment, Demonstrated skill in leading,
coaching, teaching, and supervising employees. Demonstrated use of risk
assessment principles and decision making. Demonstrated understanding of Microbiology (preferable), HACCP
Qualifications (preferable), Demonstrated organizational skills, Demonstrated
time management skills, Computer literate.
Job description: Factory-based quality assurance
shift supervision, Upholds WRF approach to QA, Facilitates quality assurance
processes to produce a high quality product that delivers customer quality
requirements within budget constraints. Supervises and co-ordinates the work
activities of 3-5 Quality Assurance Technologists including training. Maintains
positive relationships with internal customers. Ensures shift compliance to
GMP, Quality Systems, HACCP, CCP Procedures. Responsible for Internal Auditing
program on shift. Oversight of QA Hold processes on shift to ensure issues are
resolved in a timely manner. Support the decision making process on shift using
risk assessment principles to ensure quality standards are maintained and food
safety is never compromised. Ensures that
quality and production records are legible, accurate, complete, maintained. Investigation of customer complaints.
Non-conformance corrective and preventative action follow up. Development of
Quality Attribute Sheets and other factory quality specs. Maintenance of the
Packsheet system. Manage shelf life evaluation program and Quality
Specification Check panels (day shift only). Manage retain samples (day shift
only). Coaching of Production personnel in GMP, adherence to procedures and
quality parameters, HACCP and paperwork completion. Responsible for monitoring
plant sanitation levels.
