Location: Bakersfield, CA area

Salary: D.O.E

Education: B.S. in accounting, finance, or related field.

Experience: 5+ years of demonstrated experience in finance, with some experience in agriculture preferred.

Excellent oral and written communication, reporting and presentation skills.

Working knowledge of and understanding of pool accounting procedures.

Demonstrated proficiency in the mastery of ERP Systems.

Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.

Detail-oriented with the ability to format, analyze, summarize, and report data clearly, concisely, and timely.

Ability to identify improvements in daily operational practice and communicate with upper management.

Respectful, constructive, energetic with a ‘get-it-done’ style, with the ability to seamlessly fit into a mature, established group, working cooperatively and collaboratively to maximize performance and results.

Possession a valid DL, dependable transportation, basic auto insurance coverage, and an insurable driving record.

Job Summary: The Director of Finance is responsible for the financial administration and risk management of the company; preparation of financial statements and analysis for presentation to senior management.

Reporting Relationships: The Director of Finance reports directly to the chief financial officer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Essential job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Managing financial administration of group health insurance plans, retirement savings benefit pan, workers’ compensation insurance, incentive programs, and property and casualty insurance.

Managing companies crop insurance policies, limits and working with management to report claims.

Acting as the first point of contact with plan actuaries to support completion of the annual actuarial report and with human resources for participant applications.

Preparation of ad hoc ROI analysis for senior management.

Assisting the chief financial officer to work together with companies lenders on new loans and projects.

Working with the Company’s lenders to provide ongoing required information and disclosures.

Assisting the chief financial officer with the preparation of financial statements for reporting, recordkeeping, audits, and for presentation to senior management.

Partnering with and providing management with financial tools and reports for well-informed and effective decision-making.

Ensuring all files necessary for financial analysis and reporting are thoroughly accurate and maintained, and providing support and guidance of accounting entries and reconciliations.

Interacting with accounting, payroll, human resources, and sales departments, as required.

Acquiring and maintaining fluency, knowledge, and expertise in the Company’s ERP System.

Supporting and assisting the chief financial officer with special projects, workflow, and improvements with financial reporting and analysis, and overall financial administration.

Performing all other duties, tasks, and projects, as assigned.
