Location: Atwater, CA area    

Salary: DOE           

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Science, Agronomy

Job Summary: Monitors all aspects of contracted acreage for company.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 1-year college course work.

Agriculture background preferred.

Ability to assess estimated production for each grower’s field.

Current California Driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Travel required – could be for extended periods.

Must have valid passport or be able to obtain one.

Must be able to work with little to no supervision.

Ability to make sound decisions under pressure with minimal guidance.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to find a solution for, or deal proactively with, work-related problems.

Must have the ability to drive up to 8 hours per day, as needed.

Bilingual- English/Spanish preferred.

Ability to communicate in a professional manner, both written and verbal.

Duties and Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

Perform and deliver contracts between company and growers.

Assess estimated production for each grower’s field.

Monitor all contracted acreage.

Check crops to determine pick time.

Monitor fields for pest and disease pressure.

Must be available to work on weekends during the fruit season.

Work with pesticide software.

Work with SAP software.

Check on quality of harvest.

Provide growers with grade reports daily.

Communicate fruit quality issues with growers in a professional manner.

Coordinate with Field Manager.

Coordinate with trucking company.

Coordinate with Plant receiving department.

Lead safety trainings for company’s field employees in Spanish.

Maintain good working relations with U.S. and Mexican suppliers.

Travel to Mexico for several days at a time.

Public relations work on behalf of the company

Perform miscellaneous duties in Farming Division and Truck Shop during the off-season.

Follow company policies.

Follow safety procedures.

Other duties that are reasonably associated with the above essential functions of the job.
