Location: Have the ability to travel from central valley, Ventura County, Los Angeles, and Coachella Valley areas.

Salary: $100,000, per year with bonus potential

Education: High school Diploma Minimum

Experience: 2-3 year experience as a harvest supervisor

Overview: The principal duties of the Field Man will be focused on identifying growers, ship and sell their citrus products. Along with these duties will be the oversight of all harvesting activities such as contracting to perform harvest, oversight of hauling harvested product to packing shed and insure that all processes are reconciled back to accounting in a precise and timely manner.

Reports to General Manager

Primary Duties:

Oversight of all Harvest crews, both internal and external

Coordination of daily harvest of all citrus and date crops

Facilitate all information regarding harvest between Management, Accounting, and Contractors.

Work with other Team Members on daily/weekly/monthly timeframe to provide optimal production. Emphasis on “staying ahead” in information to effectively plan through any potential issues

Manage/Track harvest forecast with Packing / Sales daily harvest updates.

Maintain steady communication with Growers regarding harvest requirements, and proactively communicating any/all potential lapses in supply flow or quality.

Ensures that crews meet all the SOP’s of BMP

Ensures that employees have proper PPE

Coordinates adherence to all Food Safety Regulations.

Oversight of daily documentation like field tags, food safety, IPP

Ability to manage and supervise others

Promote safety in the workplace

Qualifications:

Ability to operate a computer

Able to follow BMP’s

Ability to travel to various California Citrus Districts

Flexible hours including day, night, weekends and holidays as business requires

(Available if needed 24/7 for business emergencies)

Effective bilingual communication in Spanish and English with emphasis on accurate translation.

Strong Communication skill via phone, email, direct person

Methodical and analytic thinking critical to planning/preparing production based upon ever-changing weather-related events

Ability to work independently and as a team member

Able to maintain confidentiality

Must have a valid driver license
