Location: Fresno, CA area Education: Bachelor degree in Food Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred).

Experience: Minimum of three years of experience in food manufacturing sanitation in a supervisory role.


Solid knowledge of chemical use in the cleaning/sanitizing process

Sound understanding of GMP's, PC, HACCP, EMP, OSHA, and USDA regulations

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Excellent computer skills including proficiency in MS Office.

Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints.

A demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.

Self-starter with ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Excellent organizational and planning skills, attention to detail, and thorough desire for continuous improvement.

Reports To: Director of Operations

Summary: This position is responsible for supervising and developing the Sanitation department ensuring the safe and efficient daily cleaning of the equipment and facility.

Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions

Monitors the department budget by working closely with chemical suppliers.

Analyze sanitary needs, and make recommendations for improvements while minimizing food safety risks and keeping the best sanitation conditions.

Coordinates and/or trains staff on sanitation and safety procedures.

Maintain SDS sheets.

Conducts root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.

Participates in plant audits.

Ensures that GMP's are followed.

Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities.

Manages staff including recognition, discipline, performance evaluations, etc.

Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.

Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Works evenings and weekends as required.

Review and enforce the Company’s food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Performs other duties as assigned.
