Location: Bakersfield CA area

Salary
: $130,000 Benefits

Education
: Bachelor’s degree in agribusiness, business or a related field Experience: A minimum of 3 years’ management level
Experience at a processing facility
Obtain and maintain California QAC (Qualified Applicator Certificate) license
Knowledgeable in the areas of processing, warehousing, quality assurance, inventory management, people management and chemical application.
A working knowledge is necessary in order to train in these functions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient with MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization and external contacts.
Solid decision making skills.
Bilingual Spanish
English helpful but not required.

Position Description: The Processing Manager directs and organizes the daily operations of the processing facilities. He/she oversees employees and production to ensure the plant is running safely, smoothly, effectively, and efficiently.
Typical duties include:
Oversee safe operation, and maintenance of all processing equipment and ensure a safe workplace environment for all employees and visitors
Meet goals of hulling, shelling, processing, storage, and shipping in quality and throughput
Coordinate processing projects and initiatives with production and marketing departments
Work with Processing Manager at other processing location to unify division and learn from successes/challenges
Maintain and improve operational efficiency of facility to produce product to meet customer specification
Ensure that shipment quality meets contracted specifications
Coordinate with quality control to meet all customer, internal, and audit requirements
Ensure that facility meets requirements of regulatory agencies
Manage overall risk and food safety of facility
Select, hire, train, supervise and evaluate staff
Heavy focus on development of direct reports
Create operating and capital budgets and monitor/manage spending within approved limits
