Salary: $110-$120k 

Location: Stockton Area

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration

Experience: Five to ten years or more experience in transportation and/or logistics management required, consumer products preferred
Knowledge of integrated supply chain and logistics concepts
Must have highly developed leadership, management, communication (written & verbal), organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills
Strong negotiation skills
Expert knowledge of third party logistics center operations
Expert knowledge of ground transportation operations is essential including experience w/ truck load, less than truck load, & rail shipping operations
Experience with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)
Experience with retailer web-sites (Wal-Mart, Target, etc.) a plus
Must have computer proficiency in MS Office
Must be willing to travel up to 3 times per year

Job Description: Responsible for managing processes involved in the procurement and movement of production inputs and finished goods.  This requires interaction with many parties, including suppliers of raw materials and services, retailers, internal sales staff and brokers, manufacturing personnel and executive staff.  Extensive experience with varied information sources and the ability to develop meaningful reporting and analysis is a key to success.

· Optimizing the distribution of finished goods from manufacturing facilities to customers or third party logistics providers, and from third party logistics providers to customers
· Providing leadership in developing efficient and customer-friendly logistics plans
· Developing and improving systems used to manage and logistics and purchasing processes
· Monitoring the quality, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods
· Conducting competitive bidding processes for logistics services and key inputs to the production process
· Management of demand forecasts for purposes of forward warehouse replenishment
· Management of inventory levels and associated purchases from copackers
· Monitoring and reporting on quality levels for copacked products
· Managing warehouse and carrier claims process
· Review and approval of payment requests from logistics and material suppliers
· Analyzing data to monitor performance and plan improvements
· Optimize relationships with suppliers and internal customers
· Oversee staff of two:  Order dispatch to transportation suppliers, warehouse inventory reconciliation, post inventory transactions, process claims and order adjustments, spot quotations for transportation, production/labeling planning
